< GAINS, 9-10 Dec 2026, Bengaluru />

Software Engineering is Entering a New Phase

For decades, our systems have been built around deterministic execution. We could trace behavior through code, reproduce failures, and establish confidence through testing, observability, and operational controls. As intelligence becomes part of software itself, many of those assumptions are being challenged.

Applications increasingly retrieve information dynamically, reason over context, generate plans, invoke tools, coordinate workflows, and take actions whose outcomes cannot always be predicted in advance. The challenge is no longer simply building AI features. It extends across architecture, software development, testing, deployment, operations, governance, security, reliability, and scale.

The question is no longer whether intelligence will become part of software. The question is how we build systems that remain reliable, observable, governable, and trustworthy once it does.

GAINS is an engineering-first conference dedicated to exploring how software engineering evolves in response.

Over two days in Bengaluru, engineers, architects, platform teams, technical leaders, educators, and practitioners come together to examine the systems, infrastructure, workflows, and engineering practices emerging around intelligent software. From coding agents and AI-assisted development to orchestration, evaluation, observability, governance, infrastructure, and autonomous operations, GAINS explores the disciplines shaping software in the age of AI.
